The SilentMax features a steel-reinforced belt drive system for added value, strength and durability. The units motor and gearbox are precision machined, greased and factory sealed from the environment for long lasting, reliable performance. The SilentMax is lightweight with a strong and rigid 5-piece tube rail system that requires no assembly hardware for quicker installation. The garage door opener features Genie's "SmartSet" programming making for fast and easy setup with the simple push of a button. For added security, the SilentMax is enhanced with "Intellicode" security technology that unauthorized access. The included Safe-T-Beam system helps prevent accidents via an invisible infrared beam accross the door opening that will reverse the door if an object crosses the LED beam of light. "HomeLink" and "Car2U" compatibility links to car's built-in remote system. Unit works on residential sectional garage doors up to 7' in height and 500lbs. in weight. With the use of the extension kit the unit can be upgraded to accommodate an 8' high garage door.
